Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10

I can't believe your going to paint this with all the natural patina it his. Are you really gonna spend the time and money doing this? It looked like it was going to be such a quick project for you with the chassis already done. Oh what the f*%k , you have other shooters to drive.

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10

I wondered where that chassis went after I saw it for sale.

I will have to watch out for this one.

Cool project! I've kicked around the BBW conversion idea in the past, but never grew the nerve to go through with it. I can't wait to see the results...

Sorry Greg, the snow has kept me from cutting the inner big window panel out of the parts truck but yesterday I could wait no longer. I put my big boy panties on, warm boots, a few extension cords, and some sharp sawzall blades and the booger came out.

Had to grind down about a hundred spot welds, in just the opposite fashion of removing the small window panel from my truck.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Boris, have you thought about putting in a high mount brake light while you have the rear sheetmetal out? just a thought.

Probably a great idea as far as safety is concerned, but the 3rd light is just not for me.

Cab should be done at the blasters today, hoping I can pick it up before the weather gets bad again. Hard to believe its over 60 degrees in Cleveland during Feb. Inner fenders mock-up.

Do you have plans to fill in the side (vertical) areas of the new inner fender or are you going to keep peep holes? ....could be interesting left open. How close are the hood sides? Nice beadwork!

yes the complete inner panel will be closed off and removable as well.. The hood hasn't been fit yet but there will be enough clearance between the top of the tub and the the hood.
