Re: Show us some steering wheels
Is that a 15" wheel? That looks great.

Re: Show us some steering wheels
Did you build that wheel yourself? It looks great. Do you have any pictures of it in the process of the build? I like the looks of the old wheels a lot, it’s just the size I don't care for that much. I like two of the design in the link I put in my post above, but a $300 wheel isn't in my near future. I wish I had the skills to make my own wheel.

Re: Show us some steering wheels
Slow Build: It was more of an experiment after a few beers. I cut the hoop off the original wheel and ground back the plastic(?) to expose the metal framework of the wheel. I found a 15" valve handle at my place of employment and cleaned it up and just welded it on. Built the gaps back up with body filler and blended the arms into the hoop. Then tried to replicate the original texture with an engraving tool. It is far from perfect but will do until something better comes along.

From post 1, pic 1:
Does anyone know who manufacturers this wheel and/or where it can be obtained?

Re: Show us some steering wheels
I just put this Lumina wheel on mine. It's more comfortable for me but it blocks the speedo a little bit. It will work for awhile.

Re: Show us some steering wheels
Just had to change the wheel. My column is from the late 60's to early 70's (tilt, non-locking, no key in column). It fits fine and the horn wire was easy to retro-fit.
