That is a VERY nice truck. I like that original color for the paint. I've found traces of that color on mine before I painted it silver.

When I get more time I got some neat details in regards to special ordered items factory installed, etc. One of which is in the RPO list.

Re: 77' Sierra Classic 1 ton Crew w/ 21,000 miles

We should start a 50,000 mile and under tread for each generation of GM Trucks (eg. 73'-87' ) so we can see all the time capsules...

Re: 77' Sierra Classic 1 ton Crew w/ 21,000 miles

I love it, don't change a thing.

I have a 78 C10 Silverado with 33k original miles, and sometimes I wish I held out for a C/K30 like yours, as I wish mine could tow. The only truck I'd sell mine for is a 77-78 C/K30 like you have. Awesome ride!

Re: 77' Sierra Classic 1 ton Crew w/ 21,000 miles

I love it! Looks better than my custom dually. I am a "keep it stock" kind of guy by heart but I bought a 4 door extended cab SWB dually, totally custom. Some times I wish I just had a regular old truck. Something about simplicity that just makes a truck beautiful! I am now crying, lol!

Re: 77' Sierra Classic 1 ton Crew w/ 21,000 miles

Only my other two trucks, which also have low milage are not matching number trucks. The 1980 c25 and this 1977 c35 are both living time capsules. A

Accually, both have almost the exact same milage! lol

Re: 77' Sierra Classic 1 ton Crew w/ 21,000 miles

I am a bit of a collector also. I have a 77 Trans Am w 27,000 original miles, an 03 SS Silverado w 60,000, a 78 Scout II w 58,000, a 50 Chevy P/U w 80,000( I have repainted this one but running gear is all original) a 91' 454 SS w 80,000 original miles, and a 72' Blazer w 110,000 but its also been repainted. What do you want for that truck anyway?

Re: 77' Sierra Classic 1 ton Crew w/ 21,000 miles

wiggins - Well as I had mentioned talking with another member, I would just start at the last very recent offer I had, Believe it or not, $35,000 and list it OBO, if I got a good offer that did tempt me enough, fine, if not, it's of no loss what so ever not selling it because I would NEVER get another 73'-80' 3/4 ton or 1 ton Crew Cab like it ever again!

I know there is only a very very small hand full of 73'-80' 1 Ton Crew Cab single axles ever made that were top of the line trucks, let alone the lower production GMC's.

When you look at this truck and sit behind the wheel you fall in love, and say to yourself every time "dang, THIS IS STILL A BRAND NEW TRUCK"!!!

I can reach through the window and turn the key to start it and it just purrr's...
