Re: 1965 c10 short wide rebuild

pulled the BBC out of the donor truck yesterday. it has the original 1988 lower end, but has 1977 781 oval port heads, and an edelbrock aluminum TBI intake(Im assuming to match those big ports on the heads) new torque converter, looks like fresh rebuild on the th400 trans(new front and rear seal..), and I droveit the other day so I know it all works!

Here are some pics

and thats my low miles D0VE 460 motor, for the pinto thats on the back burner, next to the new looking torque conv.

Before you go to all the work mounting your body on that frame, be sure you have everything you need to make a legal frame swap in your state.

Personally I wouldn't use the that frame. I would keep your original frame. Yes I have done a frame swap like that before. I wouldn't do it again given a choice.

I'm getting all of my ducks in a row, I want to get rid of the rear arm suspension, but most of all I want the 4x4 and so the frame swap is my best bet.

Thanks for your concern though cap'n
