Re: 1966 score of the day

My kids are really bugging me to get a Vista Cruiser. Must have soemthing to do with some TV show they watch. They say "we can actually cruise the vista's" in one of those . "One project at a time" Keith you got the right idea. Too many bacome a distraction and nobody has the money or effort it deserves to do more than one at a time. That shouldn't stop you from getting a few in line though.
Great Deal !!!!!

Re: 1966 score of the day

Hey nice find! Does it have tinted glass also? Probably does. Look for the ez eye
logo on the windows. I have a similar truck. 66 custom swb, big rear window, tinted glass, gauges, a/c, 283, poerglide. It still has the ac sticker in the back window too. I want to tint the windows but can't stand the thought of pulling off the sticker! Those stickers are available in reproductions too by the way. I see you have the correct center horn ring cap but the other parts are broke off. That is a One Year Only horn ring. GM used the horn rings from the 65 chevy II/ nova cars for the 66 trucks. I bought one on ebay for mine. Here's one on ebay but it's overpriced. I paid like 16 bucks for mine...

I can send you a pic of the complete steering wheel/ horn ring assembly
if you want to see what it looks like. I think there may be one posted here
under 66 pics though.

Yes please do send me the picture, I wondered why the wheel did not have the big horn ring , I am getting ready to start on a 65 c10 that we are going to leave patina'd and slam it then resell it to finance the restoration on the 66 custom......found a grille and a tailgate and a brand new set of chrome trim for 300.00 oh well it starts again.....must be addicted....bet you can't eat just one.

Re: 1966 score of the day

you can also use a horn ring from earlier novas. not sure how far back though.
here's a 64 that's cheap but grungy looking. the older ones have a different
center but you already have that part.
