Re: Want do you think?

Thanks for the pics of the chop

Just seems to me that there would be a lot of warpage welding across the middle of the roof like that. How did it go for you? Did you keep the inner roof metal also?

Looks good

Cool Re: Want do you think?

Captainfab No question about the warpage. I used a airhammer/torch with a round ended tool to stretch/shrink the panel back in shape. Never done it before but its not that big of a deal.

certainly used up some filler but both inner and outer look fine. Will get a shot of the inner roof today and post.

Thanks for the interest.

regards

Here's a shot of the inner roof...note the center space is wider than the rest.

Cool Re: Want do you think?

Vernski

No issues really
As the top drops the tops of the doors need to be lengthened.

I used two rusted doors that I had laying around and cut the tops off them . I used those window frames along with the originals so I only had one seam to weld.

With the window frame cut on my original doors I put the doors back on chopped cab and used the tops off the rusted doors and fitted them to the existing cut frames.

Make any sense?

regards

I just saw a PT Cruiser today in that color.
It's a great color.
It looks beautiful in the sunshine.
You made a great choice.

Re: Want do you think?

It's out of a mid eighties S10 and I modified the S10 bracket to fit the 64.

The wiring is pretty simple to mate up with the 64 , ignition, highbeams, signals and wipers.

good luck
