Re: Scott's 63-87 Bolt in IFS....NOW WITH C-10 spindles ;)

Do you have any pics of one installed in a truck? Does the rack mount up to the steering column fairly easily?

Re: Scott's 63-87 Bolt in IFS....NOW WITH C-10 spindles ;)

Here's a few images of Dan's truck

New column installed

Plenty or rack/crossmember/pan clearance

Scott's motor mounts installed

Column and shaft and u-joints. We offer several options for steering installs based on the motor/rack/column combo. It's important to think about the motor mount and header clearance ahead of time.

Simple bolt in crossmember

good overall shot

Here's a picture of a customers truck.

This has our bolt in IFS installed, as well as the torsion bar style sway bar. This gentleman is a self proclaimed Non-Mechanic, and was able to do the install himself with a few tools.

Thanks for the pics. That looks great.

I noticed that is a floor shift column. Does it fit ok with a column shift setup as well?

Dude you posted pictures of my truck! Very cool. I am very much looking forward to seeing and driving the finished product. Justin did the rear suspension as well, and several other things on the truck. I will post more myself when it's done. If you get a chance to stop by his shop he has some incredible builds in process.

Re: Scott's 63-87 Bolt in IFS....NOW WITH C-10 spindles ;)

You will have to open the holes slightly on the chassis for c-30.
I spoke to a buddy of mine tonight who has several c-10 trucks and two c-30 trucks. He has told me has swapped the 73-87 crossmembers in one of his c-30 trucks frames. He said there was some minor tweaks he Did.Other than that it was ok

Scottshotords thanks for pointing me to this thread. Looking forward to seeing the bagged version installed.

I am curious about the rack locaion and how big of a tire you can run without notching the frame for the rack.

We have customers who are running tire dia up to 31 1/2 tall tire laying out. There is no rack notch needed in our set up.

I have a 65 burb and this one has one of our first bolt in ifs with bags layed out. This has a 28.5 tall on the front.

I have a 67 c-10 with a 30 inch tall tire layed out with no rack notch.

Re: Scott's 63-87 Bolt in IFS....NOW WITH C-10 spindles ;)

Well, we got one of our displays done for SEMA. Man, this thing is like a piece of jewelry! All the bells, whistles, horns, kitchen sink, etc. haha...

It's our basic 63-87 IFS, but with a few noticeable additions.

First, we added a torsion bar style sway bar. This display really shows how much wheel space is gained by switching from the standard setup to the torsion style. It really allows for a wider wheel, as well as being super easy to tune.

We threw a set of Ridetech coilovers on it too. These coilovers are really top shelf without the top shelf price. Once again, easy to tune, and tailored for each suspension. Plus, they look great under there.

Instead of the standard CPP spindle, we opted to throw in a set of the modular spindles to accomodate the 14" Wilwood brakes. Man what a combo! The 14" rotors with 6 piston calipers is about as high end as ou can get in regards to brake options for this set up.

Probably the most prominent addition is the polished billet rack sitting on front. Now, I won't go in to what it costs right away. Let me just say that it is a fully adjustable, billet rack that is completely modular. The pinion angle can be changed, the pinion rotation can be adjusted, there are mulitple angled ports for lines, and as far as I know, it's the only billet rack of this style on the market. This rack is a beast, and probably only really suited for the guy that wants nothing but the best. custom ratio's can even be made.

Enough babble, here's a few images for you guys to check out.

Re: Scott's 63-87 Bolt in IFS....NOW WITH C-10 spindles ;)

All of our display suspensions are typically in bare metal. We always do this in order to show the quality of work as well as the material types. This is one of the only displays we have that is powder coated and finished as it would be on someones truck.

I am happy that we finished this one as it is probably the first real example you guys are able to see of what the finished product will look like.
