Thanks! Here is the update as of this morning, I stopped by his house yesterday at around 6:30 after work and he is sick and couldnt make it out to put a good battery in it so I could test drive it, His wife did however come out and talk to me and tell me he is suffering with Copd and he got sick like this from time to time. So I left my number and said to have him call me when he gets to feeling better, I am going to wait for a call and see what happens today and if no word by sunday afternoon I probably will stop back by and see how he is doing and check on the truck!

Front end parts are in the back!
looks like a great find. judging from the fender emblem, the non white steering column , the silver instrument cluster bezel ,and the horn button it looks like a 66. either way great truck it even has the trim holes.

Guy still hasn't called back, do you guys think it would be ok to stop by and check with him today or would that be in bad taste?

I paid 700 for one last Saturday with no motor or transmission 1500 sounds like a good deal to me. You think the signal switch is big enough?

Re: Looking at buying this 64 this weekend, what ya think?

Take your own battery and tell him you want to help him out. My experience is there are likely medical bills and its time to clean house, simplify and get rid of things. COPD can be nasty and makes it hard to work on stuff like an old truck. the wife would probably be happy to get rid of the yard art and have some $$$$

Re: Looking at buying this 64 this weekend, what ya think?

by the way, if you're able to get this truck (or another custom/classic), i can recommend a great car/truck club in your area...i was a member during college & got to know some great folks in the club...they just recently had their annual show in Columbus, so maybe you've heard of them?

Yep...Starts this Sunday and ends next week. Great show. If you come down, make sure your cooling system is up for some traffic. The strip on 90 where we do most of the cruising gets PACKED...
