Re: New life for a forgotten K5
Got a test paint sample done, it is the 1971 medium olive poly.
I love this color on old faded trucks, but didn't realize it was so limeish gold When new and shiny, now I am not so sure about this color

Re: New life for a forgotten K5
I like the medium olive. It will look great all new and shiny, but with a hint of originality

Re: New life for a forgotten K5
Try that color with a semi gloss or satin clear. would dull it up just enough to give it the aged look.

I think a matte clear would look great today but for the long haul I think I would be happier with shinier

Re: New life for a forgotten K5
Frame is finally back to being a full roller. Tranny is painted and ready.
Saturday's goal is to get the brake lines installed along with the motor and tranny.

Re: New life for a forgotten K5
I like the black, blends in with suspension, frame. I think the alt., and power steering look best down low.....but, i went with shiny. Looking good
