Re: No oil pressure
It looks tan, but I'm sure it's the one that came with the pan. Which means it's probably the green one. So is my problem not the o-ring? The o-ring looks damaged. Also it appears there is something else rubber in the oil pump. Could it be the old o-ring got lodged in the oil pump when I yanked out the truck pan and I've had two o-rings on this entire time. Which obviously would not allow it to get oil pressure.
Is there anything else supposed to be at the pickup to oil pump connection besides the o-ring on the pickup?

Ok, the o ring on the left is the one up above. It looks red when you look close. The o ring on the right was what was up inside the oil pump.

Re: No oil pressure
So you had the truck seal, on the fbody pickup STACKED onto another seal?
Well, either or both is the problem. The stacked o-ring thing was an old ls1 trick but not really a proven good idea.

Re: No oil pressure
No, I had the green F-body seal on the pickup tube and when I took the old truck pickup tube out the old black o-ring was still up in there and I didn't see it. I can't find the green oring anywhere. The parts stores say it's the red one.

Re: No oil pressure
If you are in fact using the Fbody oil pan and tube, then its the First Design (blue) seal.
The red seal is pretty much for everything else except 'vette.

Re: No oil pressure
Do you have the part number for the blue o ring?
