I love it. Who did the paint? Everything looks really great on it. I would have chosen a different steering wheel, but I really like going with the original fawn interior!

What a great looking truck, it is amazing, the colors are great, looks like that seafoam green on fender guitars that everyone pines for.

Re: 1964 chevy c10 -

I agree, that is a very nice truck and quite an accomplishment in just 2 years

Just a FYI. A '88-'95 350 engine is not a Vortec engine, it is a TBI 350. The Vortec 350's were the '96-'02 model years. If it was sold to you as a Vortec 350, they were not being honest.

Re: 1964 chevy c10 -

Nice job, I really like the truck. I have a swb '64 fleetside that has a lot of similar modifications. which makes me want to ask a few questions if you don't mind.

Is the rear end the factory one? My truck has the same unit and I wasn't sure if it had been replaced or was a OEM unit. The panhard/track bar locates seems differently on '66 trucks.

Do you have a Ididit or Flaming river tilt steering column? I went with the Ididit one and i find the gear shifter sits quite low once the truck is in drive. I can knock it into neutral with my knee. Do you have a similar issue?

Are you running rear shock re-locating brackets? If so are the they early classic's ones?

Thanks, Captainfab! I thought it had the vortec heads. Motor was still in the crate when I picked it up. Thanks for the information. Seems like the general public gets more and more difficult to deal with. Thanks again!!!!

Absolutely! Rear end is factory. However, a friend is getting ready to put in some 308 gears. I did an axle swap for 5 the lug set up.

Ididit column, but the shifter is in the floor. My knees still get in the way since I am 6'6".

I did relocate the rear shocks and used all CPP (classic performance parts). CPP supplied the shocks, springs, relocators for shocks, and the sway bar we just installed on the front. No issues with their product to this point. I had a very good experience with them in the past so I have stayed with them.

Re: 1964 chevy c10 -

From what I can see, that engine has a typical 12 bolt intake manifold. The Vortec intake manifold has only 8 bolts and they are straight up and down, no angle to them.

I'm a little curious too...

A 3" front drop spring + a 2.5" front drop spindle = 5.5"

A 4" rear drop spring + 1" block = 5.00" rear drop....

Is it really 5.5" front drop... and only 5" rear?

No real good side shots to show rake etc.
