Sometimes I wish I would have rebuilt the six using an earlier model cylinder head. The earlier sixes are definitely the way to go. Be glad yours is a 73.

Nice to see an original truck. Gonna slam it?
yea I really think I will like the 6cyl.. as far as slam it..? naw, leaving it all stock. just replacing the brittle door panels and dash.. maybe a repaint.?

Re: Whatch ya think? my 73!

I cant believe how good that truck cleaned up ,you will like that truck . My 74 step side is 6 cylinder ,3 on the tree and no power steering and I love it .Mine is not as nice as yours and I added a power booster for the brakes but the manual steering is no big deal.

Re: Whatch ya think? my 73!

I think a chrome front bumper would do wonders for the truck and it really wouldn't be a modification. But if you do put one on it I would be interested in the painted front bumper . Keep me in mind. I'm also amazed at the color that is still in the grille emblem. That truck must have been garaged . I could also see a wider rear whee(maybe a 15x8 but no wider)l but keep the hubcaps. Maybe chrome bumpers and shiny versions of that hubcap would be the only mods I would do to the exterior.

All that truck needs on front is a nice license plate and drive it.

My thoughts exactly. I'd love to have a truck like that to bebop around town.

I've seen this truck a few times parked outside Harbor Freight, in Mesa. Always thought it looked clean. Good score!
