Re: New 81-87 4" Cowl Hoods!
I can agree with that statement, if mine had been a 2", I might have kept it. Too me, it just didn't look right on a truck, but that is just my opinion. I got a 50-50 opinion from all my family & friends, about whether to keep the cowl hood or not. So it is definitely a personal like and dislike.

Slow your roll there maxxx..if you'll read the rules one of the benefits of being a paying/supporting member is the ability to buy/sell/wtb...you've only been here a couple months(I'm guessing) no need to read someone the riot act..

Re: New 81-87 4" Cowl Hoods!
I simply pointed out that this is not the For Sale section. Never once questioned their right to advertise for sale items. I see that their new hoods aren't important enough to list in the Vendor Marketplace section.

Re: New 81-87 4" Cowl Hoods!
Paul, I'm not offended. I am sorry that Mr. Maxx442 is, but with as many members that this board has you will step on a few toes now and then. It happens.... If it makes you feel any better Maxx42, I haven't sold a single hood. The reason for this post was to inform people with 80 to 87 trucks there was a new product developed for their trucks. Having made announcements like this before I always get asked for price so I answered the question I knew people would ultimately ask. I again apologize that my post offended you, but perhaps a better use of your time would just be to report anything you see as a problem to the moderators and if they ask me to move or remove it, I would be happy to comply. That's how these forums have worked for years and why their following is so great. WES

No, but you're getting all high and mighty for a non-paying newbie. That is in to comparison who supports the board as a Vendor and has been here for quite a few years, there tends to be a little leeway. If you've got a complaint, then take up with a moderator

I don't get it- everyone has the option of simply passing over threads you're not interested in. I do that in life a lot

Re: New 81-87 4" Cowl Hoods!
I took it solely as an announcement and if someone wants to purchase, then they know they are in the Vendors Section and can do so accordingly. Announcements have been posted in here before, and no one including the moderators, have had issues with them posting such announcements. So in my opinion, it is allowed. I have not seen one, in the past, that has been removed or moved by a Moderator. So maybe a Moderator needs to chime in and then we will all know the rules of a Vendor posting announcements.
The way I see it, most of us would not know about these new parts that are offered, unless they post them in this section.

Re: New 81-87 4" Cowl Hoods!
I wish someone would make a cowl hood for 80s trucks similar to the 71+ AMX hood. My dream would be for the raised area to be around one inch high and be 55 inches wide starting and ending at the existing body lines on the stock hood. The untrained eye would hardly notice it.

I can show you mine, but I took it off and went back to a stock hood.

Re: New 81-87 4" Cowl Hoods!
I say these sure look like nice hoods and look way nicer than the dual cowl some offer. Do you have any plans to have any stamped for the 73-80s?

Re: New 81-87 4" Cowl Hoods!
TKCR's hood looks like it would be harder to hook up the cowl induction than on Classic Heartbeat's hood. I'd say that is an improvement along with the screen.

Re: New 81-87 4" Cowl Hoods!
I like it! If I didn't already have a 2 inch, I would be sold.
I've never understood why some feel the need to drop their negative opinion on threads like this. Why stop and say "I don't like cowl hoods"? That's fine, and that's you're right. But why clutter up a thread with a useless comment? If you don't like it, it's this simple......... JUST MOVE ON! Just my $.02 Mike
