Re: Two car garages

Awesome thread, I think my garage is the smallest 2 car garage allowed by law! I'll post pics later. I painted the Hugger orange '72 in my garage and almost every tool I own has some orange on it.

Re: Two car garages

For some great garages and shops check out Garage Journal. Some of those guys have more storage than would fit in my 20X20 and still have room for whatever they do. Some have complete woodshops, others auto shops. Some budget Idea and high dollar both. You will have garage envy.

Re: Two car garages

Anyone else have truckster's idea and put a anchor in the floor for a wench or come along to move noon running vehicles in and out the garage?

Re: Two car garages

I just drilled a 1/2 inch hole in the concrete in a place where it wouldn't be in the way and installed a wedge anchor. I have a HF winch I can hook up to it to drag cars in.

I am enjoying the garage porn here, now you want me to see more.

I have a 14' X 20' and built a 8' X 12' shed to get the truck in there and the truck is still in my neighbor's 2-car garage.

Man I suck at organizing...

Re: Two car garages

You have to start with a 60 x 80 garage for 2 vehicles. That way in about 2 years time you might be able to still get 2 vehicles in it. I don't care how big you build them, it never seems to be big enough. LOL

Re: Two car garages

I have a buddy that does Poncho restorations in his home garage. He mounted a winch since his driveway is steep and though his neighbors will come at a moments notice, they all work regular jobs and it takes at least 2 to push an empty shell into his garage, so there's not always enough help around. He loves the ease of the winch and it actually made it where he can work on stuff. His garage isn't deep enough to get around a car with the whole thing inside. Since Ken is in a wheelchair, it made it possible to go into restoration full time when his job was ending. He just used a mount for the winch and a hammer drill to put in anchors.
