Re: 1972 GMC Stepside 4X4
Cool stepper, and a unique combo for sure.
I’d try to repair that fender. Even if you just push the dent out partially it will look ok.

Love the color combo! I'd say you found yourself a real gem.

Re: 1972 GMC Stepside 4X4
Well, the photos did not disappoint and, as suspected, I am jealous.
As others have stated, I'd pull that front fender and work on saving it.

That step-side toolbox is pretty neat. Dealer option do you think?

Re: 1972 GMC Stepside 4X4
Looks like I better save this fender.
Shouldn't be too hard to fix, especially if it's removed from the truck. |

Re: 1972 GMC Stepside 4X4
First addition to the stepside. A $50.00 original chrome bumper from the swap meet in Sacramento.
Not perfect, but much better than the old one. Pat |

Thanks Guys,
It will get a full restore after I finish the Jimmy and the '63 Corvette! For now, I'm going to drive it just as it is. Pat |

I see no one answered your production question. You're right about 1,736 Chevy SWB Step trucks produced in 1972. Unfortunately no data is left for the GMC's. The number is less, we just don't know how many less do to records being destroyed. |

Re: 1972 GMC Stepside 4X4
I would love to have this truck! My current stepper would love to have a big brother. Nice find.
