Great photos and even greater trip. Jealous and love to see an old truck doing truck things.

Thanks for sharing. It's been a few years since I was out west and you are making me want to go again.

If a machine can have a soul or spirit, Blue Cloud was happy to get out. And thanks for the comment (including everyone else).

Now I'm going to post the pictures taken with the iPhone. In some cases, it does better than the Nikon. There was something I wanted to take pictures of, here is only one shot:

Re: My remote camp trip near Monument Valley

Question: What is your model/make of your tool box? Might you have a link? I didn't think you could get a toolbox with the in-bed spare tire! Love to have the width of it (since perhaps with my Rally Wheel it wouldn't fit).

Thanks!

I got it at Lowes, it's a Craftsman that measures 12.5". My previous '69 came with a "regular" size, so I know what you're talking about.

Before I get back to the regularly scheduled program, I saw this in Bluff.

Thanks. What was different for me, was stopping so much to begin with. How many times in my life have I zoomed through here, wishing I could. I actually didn't walk much, getting too lazy. I used to be a gonzo mountain biker, and recently able to do fairly long hikes.

Re: My remote camp trip near Monument Valley

What great campsite over Monument Valley. I wondered about wind but I guess you lucked out. Boy, to think you have to go places like this just to get away from people offering to buy your truck . Washboard... I noticed the great example shown in the picture your dad took. You'd think they'd have fixed that by now

I know right? I've never had anyone want to buy my truck, but I read some have but their trucks are much nicer.

Welcome Old Blue K20!

Orange panel! That brings back memories! Cool pics, keep looking for an anvil falling from the sky towards W.Coyote.

I slept in back of the truck. I don't want a snake or scoripon to sneak in!

(high) Desert air

It's a nice romantic concept sleeping out under the stars on the ground like the cowboys. That's about it

Re: My remote camp trip near Monument Valley

The best way, unless it's windy and rains. I just timed it bad, but I'm so swamped with work it was a gamble.
I just discovered that Flickr has purged me, without warning. I've had trouble with that website several years ago, dealing with politics. So until I figure out exactly what happened, I won't be posting pictures for awhile. I see my pictures still show up, so they like owning them.

Argh. I'm about to see if I can finally free all my Photobucket pictures I've all but forgotten about. I'm going to subscribe and hope to be able to copy the pictures away from there. I don't know if that will work or if they will be watermarked, as if my pictures are theirs, once I cancel my subscription.

On the Model Car Magazine forum, many people got pissed about Photobucket, so many of the old threads became a screen with "no image", making the thread useless. I got started with Flickr when I was on my first forum for MINI Coopers.
