Over the weekend I got a 5.0 mustang almost finished [hehe], completley took apart my vortecs to get ready for the machine work, did lots of research on springs/pressures to match my component selection properly, gave the machine shop guys a little motavation to get my stuff done quicker, and started sanding down the 79 to get ready for the new paint so I can sell it.

Yanked the 3spd tranny out of my 68. What year did they start adding metallics/pearls to the gear lube ?

Now to decide which direction..... 5spd or 700R4??????????

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

I replaced the belt on the Tahoe, put clear corners on the Tahoe, charged the jetski battery, and checked all the fluids in my truck.

HEHEHE, you just had to ask

ALRIGHTY...

My buddy keeps whining to me that his car sounds funny and it needs fixed, so I determine that there is something wrong in the valve train.

Yank a cover off, run all the valves...were good to go

Next day it starts making odd noises again, so I yank the covers again and determine that a stud must be coming loose. Find the loose rocker and decide that the easiest fix is to pin the stud cause he doesnt wanna spend much cash.

Well I have to pull the intake to get to the stud, so I do....then Im curious, I pull that lifter and it is SCREWED all up. were talkin you could use this thing for a golf tee.

So I end up yankin the motor to put a new cam in, and out of curiosity again...I roll it over and pull a few mains to make sure that no iron filings got in them.

hahaha, the mains have a odd wear pattern....later find that the crank is bent

Then I find that every single rod bearing is trashed, so the motor pretty much gets a complete overhaul.

Good thing it aint my motor or I would kill the guy that built it 2700 miles ago!

Test fitted a new Holley 650 Double Pumper for the ZZ4 that'll be put on Saturday. Will be adding a lowprofile 6" aircleaner to top it off, AN fittings and braided hose are being run down to the pump. Also have a 1" spacer and in line fuel pressure gauge thats going to be used too. Looks mighty sweeeeeeet. Will post pics Sunday.
