Yeah I don't think there's really a specific LR1, but there is an LR2,LR3, and LR4. Then there's Land Rover Range Rover which is just a more expensive version of the others

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite

Well fellas this weekend has been crazy!!!

Friday, after work my and a buddy went and changed oil on my gf's mom's truck, then we installed a garage door opener, and then I grilled. Saturday woke up, went and helped my friend Eric also known as 67c10guy here on the forum helping him build his truck, and then at about 3 started doing a crawfish boil so you can see how my weekend has been. His link is in my signature because he's not much into the threads so I'm going to keep it updated. If you want here's link go check it out I'm about to be putting some pictures up on it.

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite

Oh i forgot to explain what it was

Claytona08 here has designed this for me, what it's going to replace on the truck is the stock Silverado 10 emblems on my fenders, so it's my new fender badging, I stole the idea from Claytona08 and he was nice enough to create this for me, so all my thanks go to him.

Thanks bro! I definitely owe a huge thanks to Claytona08 though being as he's the one who designed it!

It's funny you posted on here, I was just wondering how you'd been and how the truck was coming along!

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite

Well fellas I don't have such a huge update as I thought I was going to have but here's a little teaser of what was going to be the big update

Yep that's right I was trying to start getting my frame to bare metal, I got a very late start but I was hoping to have the back end of the truck to bare metal to get ready to paint. So that's your teaser I'll try to get a little bit more done this week if I'm able to.

Hope you guys enjoy the progress!!

WOW! progress! haha internet has been down you have been busy since I was last on. The frame is pretty darn good shape under that surface. You are making me jealous with that frame getting taken down. Are you just using a wire wheel?

Yeah us and our damn electronics!!

Yeah man I'm just using a course wire wheel, and just using a house hold drill. I had bought one that was a fine and it was just smoothing it out, when I got the course that's when I made progress. It's take a little more effort using just a regular drill but its getting done so who cares gotta do some real work everynow and then

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite

Right on! hard work never hurt no-one. well it only takes several years. I saw a pretty diabolical wire wheel at the lumber store and a mean grinder a few weeks back. I thought it could do the trick with no problem. One was a cup braided wire wheel and another was just a reg braided wheel they looked like they could chew up anything. So seeing as a drill and course wire wheel works I imagine it will do the job. By the way are you going to powder-coat the frame or what?

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite

Yeah bro!! Hard when makes the finished product that much better. Well I have a course regular wire wheel, and a cup course wire wheel, I want to try and find s course knotted wire wheel, my buddy just got one and it tore it up and got to bare frame like nothing. Will a grinder do better maybe, might just do the job a little quicker but the drill does just fine honestly man.

My plan for the frame is I'm going to coat it with a rustolem or something that's rust preventative, and going to let it dry and then I'm thinking of painting my frame like a silver I actually am using the idea from luifer76 he's commented on here a few times I took his idea his frame is actually blue. But my goal is to have it silver and I'll prolly do it all myself.

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite

Alright thanks man. Silver frame is going to look clean! I havent decided if I am going to paint after some sort of rust prevention. but the rustolem is a good idea. when the time comes I will probably do that or I thought about like a spray in bed liner type coating.

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite

No problem bro! Glad to help out.

Thanks man I'm hoping for it to come out pretty sick! Yeah most people that typically aren't doing a show truck, or anything like that typically will do either just black or I've heard a couple of guys doing the bed liner for the frame. By no means am I going for show quality I just want to have something different that'll pop.

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite

Well.......I have to work a full day today, and then have a surprise b-day party for my gf's dad so absolutely no work on the truck today.

Tomorrow, depending on how I'm feeling and how early I get up, I'm going to aim for getting the back half of the cab sanded down and primed so that I'll actually have a completely sanded and primed truck. And if i still have time left in the day I'll do some more wire wheeling, trying to get the frame to bare metal! And Sunday I'll just do more work with the wire wheeling, should be a pretty productive weekend coming up!
