Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Pulled the Chevy bedside off my 66 GMC and put a GMC side back on.
Worked on my wifes 63 and my 63 too. Cleaned the work area and put away all the tools. Finally made it to over 100 degrees... summer is a coming.... I love the heat..

Got the rest of the front cap off today, and stripped out the interior, now the real work begins. Next stop, suspension upgrades... Calling it a night guys.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Your truck with teh blue trip in excellent. The way the rims and trim seems to bring out the Ivory/White (don't tell whihc) really makes it pop.
Damn nice.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I had an old Damplifier Pro kit from Second Skin I bought a long time ago. The new kits have the black foil.

Where is Edmore in Michigan? I am going there this summer. Visiting family and taking some parts to my cousin in the U.P.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Picked up a couple of blank keys, and a headlight switch at Antique Chevrolet Parts, looked, and looked, and looked for the clip I have misplaced for the throttle linkage, little dickens is hiding somewhere, will have to fashion a new rod so that I can drill the end, and use washers, and a cotter pin.
Scouring Spaenaur, and McMaster Carr at the moment, any ideas where to find. none of the jobbers, or ACP have this little guy |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Got my rusty chrome American Racing wheels back from powder coat and went over the entire truck with Penetrol to seal the rust and give it a bit of a gloss. No more dusty rust.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I am in the process of reassembling my 64 shortbed fleetside. I fired the 406 SBC last week and it smoked like a coal burner. Engine had been sitting for 3 years. (this truck restoration has been a 20yr process)
So after all of the time and attention to detail. I pulled the engine and tranny back out to disassemble the freshly painted engine and find out why #7 hole is spewing oil. I guess an oil ring is stuck. Really stinks as this engine has 20 min on it!! I am so close to finishing this thing! Assembly is torture! lol |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Vacuumed out the big panel, did some test fitting for the storage benches for the back, flushed the radiator and refilled with new coolant for summer. Installed new temp gauge, installed new gas gauge, hooked up the speedo, pulled the front bumper. It's nice to be back working on the trucks again.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I worked on the interior last night as well. Trying to get the seat belts fitted and test fit the carpet and door panels etc.
I am thinking about wrapping the door panels in black vinyl? |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I got my bed a little closer to level and adjusted the panhard bar so I can drive higher. Also removed my instrument panel trying to figure out how to do the gauges.

Installed my u-joint, painted the drive shaft and re-intalled. I also filled the holes from the gun rack I removed.
