Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
David, have you thought about using one of those flat K&N styles out of a new car, like 10" by 16" by 1", building a base and cover for it then mounting the scoop on it. This would give you more air into the engine. just a thought, I have always had bad luck with those little air cleaners. what do you think?

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Thanks! I wish it was soon, but still looks like about 3 months or so if no bad luck.
I appreciate it! The camera just doesn't pick up the true colors on this truck, may have to let someone who knows what they are doing take some pics. Quote:

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Not the update that I wanted to give, expected to hear the motor crank for the first time. I did get a couple of other things done though. My intake is now installed along with some of the wiring under the dash. Got a new swivel water neck installed and painted a few parts like the transmission cover and the flex plate cover with krinkle black paint. Also installed a new trans filter. I also got the starter installed with a slight trim job on the flywheel cover. Didn't get enough done this weekend.....I'll try harder next weekend!

Here is a quick update from today. Got my brake pedal in, got my shifter linkage in, put my side mouldings on my bed and wheel arches, and got my cab bolted down for the last time. Only got pics of the mouldings for ya now. Nuke, you were right, these things really make it stand out!!!!

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Thanks! They are not too hard, just measure twice and drill once! Make sure everything is bolted down where they need to be (cab and bed) and align the trim accordingly. I purchased the kit from Mar K, they fit good and are made in OK City.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
I appreciate the compliments! It was a hard decision, but the right one was made! I agree, it kinda broke up all that orange paint and made the emblem and rims stand out.....just what it needed. I will get the doors and cab done tomorrow and take some more pics. I may even do a fender and hang it to get the full effect. Stay Tuned!!!

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Hey Puropedo, thanks bro! I got the emblems from a 55 to 57 Bel Air restoration parts place, you can find them from Danchuk too. Next update! Got my brake pedal in and and got an all chrome bezel today. Got my blue LED's in the bezel too. Hung both fenders for fitting the trim. Knocked out all of my trim on the passenger side and started fitting the driver side but didn't get it all done today. Also rebuilt my ac controls (broken peice beside it) and put the white face on it. Put my cowl rubber on, and installed my new speedo cable. Check out the thread on the message board, Niftee 50ees to see all the trucks at the car show today, there were 420+ there, lots of our trucks!!!
