Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Hey bro! Great pic, that truck looks like a pissed off bulldog! Carshow this Saturday evening We are meeting at Pollata's at 6:30 and driving over to Rookie's for a 7pm start time, kinda a small cruise. Should be about 20 to 50or so in the show. Maybe you can make it.

Thanks a lot guys!!

I'm really glad I can help in the incentive department. There's plenty of amazing trucks on here that help get me going again from time to time, and some just make me wanna quit You should put up a build thread when the time comes! We'd all love to see the truck and what you do with it. Thanks again! |

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Maybe the little woman won't be too mad at me for going two weekends in a row. She went to the show at Pallota's last Saturday night for about 2 hours......that was amazing.

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
First I sandblasted it, then came the red rustoleum primer, then the rustoleum gloss black (both rattle-can). I sanded the first coat down a little and sprayed another. The knob was sanded and painted with white krylon we had laying around and after some more sanding and coats, the lettering was hand-painted on. The knob eventually got cleared with the clear coat for the truck and I found a nice chrome nut at Sears to tighten it down.

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
I ended up having to do some work on the grille where a couple of areas were bent weird, but it's good to go now. I drilled the holes for the hood letters yesterday and finished up with the sanding so it's ready (holes had been filled when the front was reconstructed). The cowl piece is also ready to go. I need to seal the hood and grille again with the black epoxy and then everything will be ready for color/clear! Hopefully it'll all happen today..... I don't want to spray right now since the sun's right above where I paint and everything get's extremely hot.

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Ok the cowl and grille are looking alright and so was the hood until a good sized moth decided to two step through the first coat...so tomorrow I'm going to sand it out as well as other imperfections and I'll spray another coat. You can't really see it in the pictures. It was on the passenger side near the front.
