Rub it in, why don't you. Congratulations again. Thanks. I need to get off my rear and get it finished before these new parts start rusting.

Re: Project - '69 4x4 named "Patches"
I love your truck. I have been trying to talk a neighbor into selling his '70 Chevy 1/2 4X4 longbed, but no luck so far. (His wife doesn't want to sell it). Have you had anymore progress on your truck yet?

Re: Project - '69 4x4 named "Patches"
Sorry, no new progress to report at this time. My wife has been out of work for the past year so the truck got put on hold. It's just sitting in the basement collecting dust. Luckily, she found a job about a month ago, so maybe 2012 will be a good year.
Thanks for checking in.

Re: Project - '69 4x4 named "Patches"
Nothing major to report. Got the motor and tranny filled with oil. I still need to buy some more gear oil so I can fill the transfer case and differentials. I'm trying to get the drivetrain buttoned up finally, but I keep hitting minor stumbling blocks every way I turn. In trying to get the flex line at the fuel pump installed I had one of the AN fittings ring off for no apparent reason. What it should look like. Also, I've been going round and round and round with Inline Tube trying to get my brake lines figured out. I think I've got more of their inventory than they have now. Talking about poor customer service and crappy attitudes, but I'll save that for the review forum one day. Here's a shot of some of the "extra" lines that they sent me just trying to get the rear axle lines correct. What a joke! All of these lines went in the scrap pile. I picked up a new repop comfort grip steering recently and that about sums up the recent progress. Thanks for checking in.

No matter how you look at it "progress is progress". I take it the second fitting worked.

Re: Project - '69 4x4 named "Patches"
Sorry to hear about the brake lines, I must have gotten lucky with mine. As far as the an fittings, I think you need to lay off of the 12 oz curls keep pushing brother, I can't wait to see yours done!

I know, I know. I'm always the optimist. I was thinking/hoping that they would get my order right. I haven't touched my truck since early spring. I've bought a few more parts since then thinking that would motivate me to start back on it but it hasn't. Don't worry though, I plan on getting back to it here shortly. Quote:
Good luck when you get ready to install them. Will this be your first tour to the sandbox?

Re: Project - '69 4x4 named "Patches"
WOW. When I installed my line from them there was ony one line that needed to be altered. Guess I was one of the lucky ones. Hope to see some updates soon.

Glad to hear from you. All is well here. Just trying to hang in there like everyone else. Hope all is well with you and your family. Any progress on your '69? Quote:
Here are a few pics from a parts run last night with Alan. This guy had a few 67-72 truck's, including (not pictured) a slick, original, '68 short fleet 2wd with buddy buckets and original 327. He also had a few 64-66 trucks which included a pretty nice '66 panel. We planned to go back during the daytime so we could look around more and take some more pictures.
