No problem Ryan, glad to help. We had the teamwork going too..... If I had the magic touch I would have had them install themselves... Yep, just jump right in there..

I can tell you his truck is looking really good.

This ^ Not going to happen. These lights seal really well, so I'm not worried about them leaking. I want clearance lights on it, I like these lights, they're going on. Yes some people won't like them, and I can care less. Some people cry because it is a diesel. You can't please everyone and I sure am not trying to please anyone with this truck build except myself.

Re: Finally starting my Longhorn 4x4 conversion

I'm digging the cab lights, what are they off of? I'm looking for some for my burb, the tint also makes them blend a little bit and they won't be as obvious once the rest of the truck is assembled.

Andrew, they are from a 03 up dodge and are recons. I love how these lights illuminate too. They are LED and look sweet! Plus the fit the roof really well.

Or a big pair of rubber balls hanging from the hitch. Now that would be classy.

Let's get this straight, I like the cab lights. If you don't, simply don't look at this thread anymore. I also like stacks on certain trucks so if that was a slam to trucks with stacks, you failed. The rubber balls is a definite hell no! Same with hick sticks!

I hear that. I sat the fire hat style on it and decided they didn't look right to me because they're every where.

Thanks. I did manage to get the RH door assembly under way today. Got the regulator cleaned and lubed, got the new to it window installed, put the new door handle gaskets on and polishedthe door handles. I was at my local chevy parts guy's place today and I almost purchased new door handles. But every trip there nets me at least $100-$200 each time for small stuff. So I decided to lay low with these and live with them until later on. I had to pick up new felt track for the vent windows. I'll get those installed and take pics tomorrow.

I didn't mean any disrespect towards your build. Just thought it would go with the whole diesel theme. Very nice work so far, been following this build since I got on here.

was just janking the chain a bit ..... if you look at the little avatar you see the type of wheels i have for my truck...... there 22,5 inch truckwheels with are machined to take 22 inch car tires and fit 8 lug hubs with adapters
if you would use the stock trailerrims and tires and a set of those adapters on youre truck the would go for a loooooooong time untill there worn , only thing there huge

Those would look cool, but I'm afraid they're out of my bidget for a while. I plan on some aluminum wheels, but first I want to get it running and driving. I still have a couple big ticket items to purchase before I can get it running.

Re: Finally starting my Longhorn 4x4 conversion

Progress pics, not much but some. RH door is almost done. Let me tell you, some of this weatherstripping stuff should come with some instructions. I got it figured out, but boy was it nerve wracking cutting new parts. Thanks again Leon for the help on this! I think i'll be buying some other lock rod covers. I'm not real keen on how high these I got sit.

Here are some pics of the rock guard on the rocker/cab corner.

Matt, here's a side shot of the clearance lights.

Today I had a pleasant surprise waiting for me................................................. My transmission is back already! I did some trading with my friend that I get my manual trans parts from, and they did a super fast job. It's officially now a 98 up NV4500HD. Has all the upgrades, along with a billet big input shaft, and cast iron tail housing. now I'll have to decide what hydros I want to run, and get my clutch here.
