Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Drove mine for the first time with the new rear axle. Everything seems to be working properly so far, but I've just had it around town. I also picked up a sweet step bumper that was originally on a railroad truck. I'll get pics of the bumper tomorrow for you.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Cleaned the shop and decided to remove the inner portion of the hood to sand blast it and rust proof. Plus, it'll make welding in the patch panel easier.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I cut a hole in it.
Then spent awhile fitting up the new panel. If I make it over to the shop tomorrow, I'll start welding it in. |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Spent about 1.5 hours with the wire wheel on the firewall, rest of the day sand blasting parts.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Ripped out the blown engine today. Next it's time to clean up the firewall and the frame and get them ready to repaint. Looks like I'll be buying some more wire wheels!
I've got a rebuilt cluster coming next week. I was about to restore mine, but I found a guy in Las Vegas that gave me a great deal. Works out good, since I have so much to do to the truck by June. Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Thanks 198, looking forward to seeing your truck finished, those vent windows are new got em from Classic Parts, I was sweating the fitment as I've read here somewhere that some have had issues, these went right in and fit great
Thanks again for the feedback Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Thanks for sharing that they fit well. I'd like to add those to my truck someday, along with the chrome frames on the side glass. I think they'd upgrade the cab every bit as much as the stainless windshield trim.

My script valve covers arrived from Don today!
Woohoo! They look great. Now, to mod them for a PCV valve and a baffle and then repaint. Steven
