Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Not technically work on the truck. I have been working a part time job for a week now to pay for parts on the truck and the falcon.
Daniel decided he wants a 51 to restore, Timothy wants a 65 SWB and I found a 65 1 ton I want to build in rememberance of my dad. Looks like the part time job is going to have to last a loooong time! Steven

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Put about 20 miles on the new cam and engine parts today, very happy with the new setup, surprisingly the over 450hp is just enough for the big 1 ton with the 38.5" tires, lights them up pretty nicely, happy me happy truck.

I test fit my push bar, it will be cleaned up more and repainted black. The bumper and grill will be cleaned up and painted white.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Sanded all the interior metal work and started the interior repaint by painting the door inners. Should look good with the mexi-blanket trimmed bench seat and matching door panels....

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Worked on my bed. Now I'll sand blast the bed, spray with epoxy sealer and apply filler to get good and straight. Last I'll spray on high build primer to make sure its perfect.

Thanks man! I'm trying to find shocks that will help open the lid when I put gate hinges on it. The lid by its self is about 45 pound

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I welded up my transmission tunnel cover flange where the PO had "modified it" (aka cut it up) for a top-loader "conversion".
My buddy Keith came over Saturday and we got busy sanding rust, pulling dents, installed a 78 burb power steering gear box with a REZ kit. Got up EARLY Sunday morning and went to the annual Little Washington Fire Hall swap meet to check out what was for sale and drink coffee. Didn't see one thing directly relating to this series of trucks but it was good to see the gang out doing what we do. Sunday after church set up steering linkage ... my truck was outside for the second time this year... life is good. What a great weekend! rg |
