I think I remember Suzq had said in her post that she was selling her truck, so the admins modified her post. I don't think that was directed at Tincan. I may be wrong though... |

First is what was in the '65 broken upper collar and all plastic switch-odd wire colors and broken. Second is from parts column. Metal base to switch-later style wiring colors-has different mounting screw locations and heavier upper collar. Both were three speed manual columns. Not sure of parts column originality. |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
What I did to solve my turn signal problem was get a 66 Chevy signal cup. If the parts geeks send you a Chevy turn signal switch, change the stuff around it to fit Chevy. So owners the other route is to get a 63 Chevy turn signal switch only the color code is not right. I have visions of changing out this chinese turn signal switch every few years. Just to bad they don't make parts so you could repair the original one, most of it was made of metal and built to last all except the canceling posts. Thanks Tincan for your help and nice that there is people like you out there...Vernski

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Began to get organized to start work to get my 65 back on the road. New bed strips/bolts are on order. Knocked all the old bed wood out of it, and got the battery charger on it. Noticed it still has the original rear shocks! Also was happy to find out the factory radio still works perfectly... once the antenna is up

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Not a choice. Have to. He's got to go. We have zero money with which to move, and the move HAS to happen; there's no choice. It sucks, but hey, whoever gets him, gets two engines one 90% rebuilt 400sbc, and the 283 (factory size, but not original engine)... sigh.
The mods are really getting into this whole sales thing. If I HAD THE MONEY I WOULD. <_<

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Lubed the throttle linkage, was hanging just a hair and bled the brakes for a better pedal. Then washed off all the lovely pollen that we get here in the sandhills of NC. Whole truck looked yellow.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I stripped my 65 C10 step DS fender with a polycarbonate disc. Fast and cheap. Rest will be done with media blasting.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I use my 20% off coupon at Harbor Freight and they end up costing me about 4.25 each. I like the 4.5" size. Be aware which way the disc is rotating on edges. I used up 1/2 of one disc on that fender. The remaining areas that I couldn't get to will be blasted, but the disc is less messy and it literally erases paint and rust. Even takes off the factory undercoating if you work carefully. It's my paint stripper of choice.
