Re: 60-66 suburban message board
Jon what do you find interesting? It looks normal to me. I'm probably missing something though.

Re: 60-66 suburban message board
i think having the burbs separated in builds would be good, leave the main 60-66 forum as is. Searching is more of a challenge, cause folks can put whatever they want in the post title, harder to find Suburban specific stuff.

Re: 60-66 suburban message board
Nope. They didn't come with sails. It seems those pieces make their way onto lots of trucks that would not have come with them when new. Below is stock for the custom option. (Chevrolet)

Re: 60-66 suburban message board
Thats the way it was when we got it. PO said he found the roof rack on ebay. I do like the trim behind the door. This is my First 60-66 sububan, I have much more experience with the 67-72 trucks and suburban.

Re: 60-66 suburban message board
Hey I did not mean for it to sound like that!! I am not interested in a perfect stock appearance anyway, I do like the trim, not nuts about the roof rack. Yes its pretty much rust free it does have a lil rust in drivers side cab support ( they were full of sand) and the inner fender panels. the inner and outer rocker panels are rust free as well as the tailgate, doors and fenders are rust free. It does have a few dents here and there and a poor RR fender well repair.

I didn't take it that way. I said that just in case you thought that I was criticizing your truck

Re: 60-66 suburban message board
Is it just me, or is there a ton of Suburban builds going on right now? I don't browse the build threads as often as I could, but it seems we're getting busy on the subs. Very cool.

Re: 60-66 suburban message board
Got a couple of Panels, a 4x4 sub project, and a couple of pickups. Just answering the call. I think a sub/panel/build sticky would be a helpful specific information organizational tool if it's not too much work for the mods.

ok lets try this, The PO called the truck Esmeralda I kind a like that so its a "she" ! Esmeralda spend the majority of her life in Goldfield Nevada, Esmeralda County as a "for official use only" rescue truck, hence Esmeralda. A bit ruff on the edges but no big deal rust wise, mechanical sound for a 64, has a 327 and approx 75k on the clock. We play quit a bit....... |
