Re: looky what my wife just found
Just found a cheepie Chinese toy with a camper at a swap meet in the quarter bin and modified it to fit, it happened to be a square body stepside badly coppied.

Re: looky what my wife just found
I used to build models for movie and television and for fun, this was a quick build, I originally built one with a hole in the roof for an open rag top like Dinos but had trouble keeping it together so I opted for a closed top, more joining surface for the two halves.

Re: looky what my wife just found
These are hard to find by me. I've only found 1 so far but want to get a few more to "tweak".

Re: looky what my wife just found
I have this little dude on the dash of my dailiy driver. It reminds me of why I go to work ... to fund my current '65 C10 project.
It even has mini-tubs and I swapped in some monster rear rubber. I am not sure if I am building the model to match the truck or the truck to match the model Last edited by lakeroadster; 12-19-2009 at 09:40 AM. |

I just found a couple of the gold ones at Big Lots when out shopping with Luca. Had to get him one. He always wants to play with mine but finally knows the can't open them.

Re: looky what my wife just found
Hickup pickup, if you find any more of those Delivery Series trucks I'll buy them off you. I have yet to find any in town. On a side note, there are several early Chevy and GMC models in that series this year. You can see them at this link.

Re: looky what my wife just found
'64 GMC® Panel (NEW!) (34/34)
I can barley contain myself! ^ that was listed as one of the castings for the series! I am really starting to think our 60-66's are increasing in popularity, to have hotwheels mass producing now not one, but 2 examples is great!

Re: looky what my wife just found
I found a couple of Johnny Lightning 1950 Chevy pickups at Big Lots the other day. Not sure how many collectors are out there. But it's worth a look if you have a Big Lots near you.

it is maroon/red with yellow scallops, wheels are the new basic wheel black spokes chrome rim. no surf board, and no hole for the surf board mount.

Re: looky what my wife just found
I've got a few hundred Hot Wheels hanging on my wall in the shop, and several hundred more in boxes in storage. I've been collecting (and keeping in packages) for over 20 years now. A vast majority of my collection is classic American cars and trucks, with some newer bodies and odd-balls thrown in. I'll swing by the shop tomorrow and take a picture to share on here.
