rooster, did they not work for you either, even swapped?

good looking cross member Thadious. thanks for the pics on that and the engine mount tabs. I'm anxious to see the mounts welded up.

Re: v8 motor mounts with s-10 swap?

rooster- I flipped them around and the engine is sitting where it is supposed to sit. There is a little over an inch clearance from cab to distributor. I had to notch the passenger side around the cast area the fuel pump attaches to. I have an electric pump, so I'm just going to put a block off plate on mine.

When i got my s-10 frame it had 4.3v6 mounts and after trying almost all options i've decided to use these mounts and it puts my motor about an inch or so from the firewall with little work. I will be using an electric fuel pump also and an vintage air front runner system. I'm glad you got the mounts to work for you i came real close to doing the same thing you did with the mounts i have.

Re: v8 motor mounts with s-10 swap?

I agree! About ready to install 350 in my '50 and am considering the Jags that run mounts - I like the adjustability aspect. Also looking at Ad engineering's mounts made specifically for this install. ADE's mounts are a little pricy but come with poly bushings... decisions decisions

Re: v8 motor mounts with s-10 swap?

Hello guys:

I have a project on this site(The Frankenstine).
I'm use n a 305 V8 with a 200r4 trans.
I have some pic on the motor mounts that I used.
I have stock 4.3 steel frame mounts from a Olds 4x4,then used the rubber engine mount from the same 4.3 engine.
The 4.3 n 5.7 n 305 all use the same bolt pattern on the block.
I set the motor in the frame ,then used the exhaust manifold off a vortex 305 to clear the A frame.
Look at the pic in my post under projects.
I had the serptine set on the front of the mock up an all cleared.
I have went to old school set P/S n Alt with v-belt set up.
Hope that this will help out some of you on your mock up.

Tim

Re: v8 motor mounts with s-10 swap?

Hi guys.

I just got my 305V8 set back in the frame. pic
The mounts I used where off the 4.3 (Old 4x4).
The steel mounts were off the same truck.
You can see the mounts in the photo.
