Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
I take back what I said about Cali......................oh I guess its not too bad but I'm alittle disappointed how thin the metal was. Seemed a lot more solid but the strippers blew right through some areas, not the end of the world but a week or two set back.

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
What I always say, is it is better to find it now than later. That's one of the things I like about media blasting everything. That floor rust was likely a result of a leaky windshield seal.

The unexpected rust repair has slowed me alittle bit.
New inner and outer rockers.

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
my donor inner big back window panel had some pin holes but its primed and ready for an application of lizard skin. The opening in the cab has been cut and ready for primer then lizard skin before the inner panel is installed.

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
started working on the suicidedoors chassis, it was basically a roller when I got it, I just had to plumb it, put brakes on it, and change to a power rack.

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
I bought brackets off this site from Captainfab, they use 93-97 Camaro rear calipers and 94-96 Impala SS rear rotors. I think I have less then $500 in everything.

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
Do you plan to weld the bbw panel back in or do it like Scoti and panel adhesive? Cool project! Did you sell the big wheels that came with the suicide doors chassis?

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
weld it around the window opening and along the sides under the door weatherstrip, bond it to the back of the cab at the bottom and the inner roof at the top. The only thing I don't like is that where the inner window panel and inner roof meet is there is no way to get clamps to pull them tight so I may end up welding the seam and body working the inside of the cab, kind of waiting to get the panel fully installed first. The 22" that came with the chassis are sold.
