Re: Projects.....Then and now & before and after
Ours hasn't really changed much.. we've been workin on the engine and undercarriage stuff. All that's really been done is a rattle-can paintjob because the neighbors were whining about how it looked at the time. lol
Before [when we picked him up] This is pretty much what he looks like now, just in a different parking space.

Re: Projects.....Then and now & before and after
A big change from the first day I brought it home to now. When it was on this trailer it just came from a barn in Arkansas. The truck was full of rats nests and dried mud caked everywhere.
Here is what it looks like now. I am still trying to finish it.

Re: Projects.....Then and now & before and after
The day we got it last August.
And how it sits now. I am still trying to get whitewall tires or make whitewall tires for the new wheels. Had to change them out to fit the disc brakes wer are putting on all 4 corners. And here is where all the changes have occurred. Swapping out the old worn out I6 for some LQ4 love. James

Re: Projects.....Then and now & before and after
Smaller pic, my '62 the day the seller & I pushed it across the street from his driveway to mine! May 2006 (no brakes at the time) rebuild took me 7 yrs. Larger pic, had this photo opportunity today to take pics of my truck in front of a restored Circa 1955 British American Oil Service station in Newtonville Ontario about 2hrs South East of our place. The current owners of the station are in the auction business and use the station as an auction house. They were most hospitable, giving us a tour of the old station and allowing us to take a ton of pics (think my wife and I have about 200 between us!) Fun day, truck fit in perfectly with the old station in the background, some pics even look like they were taken back in the '60s. Put about 300 Km. on the '62, ran perfectly and used a little under 1/2 a tank of fuel, love that 700R transmission!

White Wagon Wheels Big 3 bar mirrors. The rest Stock Original. I drove it all through High School in 1994 like that until 1996 when we kinda made a Street Rod out of her. She looked like this: (2.) Then - Street Rod: (3.) Now Nostalgia Pro/Street

Re: Projects.....Then and now & before and after
Interesting looking over the last couple pages where most body colors stay the same for the most part.
Very cool to see the updates.

Re: Projects.....Then and now & before and after
The picture in black is the day I brought it home. The next is the frame, last spring. Then we have the new motor, and finally a picture as far together as I had it. Now 16 months into my build it looks more like the bare frame again have it tore down for some Mango Tango paint.

Re: Projects.....Then and now & before and after
ls60apache.....
Thanks. My trim is a mixture of several years. The back cab trim and sails are 1960, the window trim is 60-63 GMC as you noted and the front windshield trim is the wider 60-61 version. I know its not 63 correct, but I think it pulls it off good being that its all factory for the cab application. And the trim lines match really good. There is a set of the 60-63 GMC trim on ebay I saw last night if anyone else is wanting any. And not that bad to install. Your project looks great!!!

You've got to get that fleetside back out for us all to see. I don't think I could leave it locked up for 4 years!!!
