I smell a rat here. The first engine pic shows an engine with my guess 50,000 + miles and with quite a few years usage on it and I see some of the decal is missing on the valve cover and also missing paint here and there even the lower water outlet housing has No paint on it. The second pic shows a nice freshly painted engine or almost freshly painted engine and now the valve cover decal looks quite different being a little more complete also now the water outlet lower housing has paint on it now. Don't know how he can say "all block and manifold paint is original" when the first pic clearly shows a very much used motor with missing paint here and there. I don't know if you all seen what I had seen but come on at least get the pics right, Its just what I saw.

I repainted it and put on a new sticker . Makes sense that i took before pics for future reference!! Theres always some ass....e.

Re: All original 67 Lwb 2k orig miles

I have not doubt about the claimed mileage. I can't find anything that looks out of place for a 67.

How about the paint in the intake? It looks like overspray in a way.

Re: All original 67 Lwb 2k orig miles

I'm looking for ideas on how to track down original dealer if it still exists.
Without a build sheet or any original documents?
I would love to find out about the originality of the tires also .
Any ideas anyone has would be helpful?

Re: All original 67 Lwb 2k orig miles

Wow...very nice.
You should completely drop that 4"-6", put 22" wheels on it with an LS substition under the hood.
(...just kidding of course...lol)
Beautiful truck and apparently a really great find. Not many in that mileage range and I'm sure Tim will be excited to see these pics!!

(that said, I would shelve those original tires and get some new ones on there just to be safe and roadworthy)

all Good

Perfect SOCAL surf rod. I can see my Takayama Model T nose rider long board hanging off the tailgate. Let me know if you ever want to part with it.
