Re: off it goes
man with mad fab skills like that, why did you even start with a truck, all it is doing is just slowing you down, LOL, you should have just built one from scratch around just a VIN plate and fabbed it all from scratch (triple dog dare to consider)

Re: off it goes
Thanks guys.....it been about a 3 yr. project, as you know with something to this detail and level of build its a time and money thing. A lot of builds take 5-7 years, some guys get half way through and give up....that thought has crossed my mind several times when I get frustrated with it, lol. The truck is at my buddies shop which after my hour drive home from work is another 80 minutes, so truthfully through the week I don't feel like going. Also this year my mother passed away which really knocked the wind out of sails for a few months. I know it seems like forever (no one thinks that more than me, lol) but I think we're doing ok....the light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer. Stay tuned, I think it'll be worth it....and thanks for all the positive feedback and comments

Your hard work will be rewarded as it graces the front covers of many a magazine, and if not, you have already proved what you can do. I am sorry to hear that, but what if you could find the strength in that and motivation to finish this magnificent build in her honor, maybe dedicate the build to her, wouldn't that be even more amazing. |

Re: off it goes
Sorry to hear about your Mom!! But as someone mentioned, if you dedicate the build to her, that truck will be one thing youŽll keep forever memorizing her everytime you drive it. (did that with may truck when my dad passed away).
CanŽt wait for the next outstanding details!

Re: off it goes
Thanks guys.....we're plugging along, just laying all the wiring out in it to make sure I don't need to put any brackets or studs anywhere before we do paint and body. It takes longer to do it twice but it makes more sense then trying to do it after paint.

Re: off it goes
^^lol, thanks guys...we've been test fitting the wiring so not many new pics, we did the cable driven wipers mounted (hopefully I will never need them but better to be safe then sorry) went cable driven so wiper motor could be hid in cowl area.. We did finish up the rear splash pans, just wanted something to hide compressors and tank but still let in air flow to cool the compressors yet quite them down a bit. Also have a drain for the water trap in the one splash pan and then a drain cock for the tank, both done so things can be drained without removing the splash pans

Re: off it goes
the mesh has lip all around it so we pushed it up through from the bottom and then bonded it to the stainless surround

Re: off it goes
That thing is so clean you might not be able to find it if you paint it to match. Strong work!
