This is my MobSled
Been wanting to post a pic of her. Traded her for another vehicle about 9 months ago. i got her with a 4inch lift, mudders all light blue hehehe. Original 101K miles with 350/350 combo.
Work done: Front rebuilt suspension all poly, brand new grill and chrome around, lowered 5/7 with springs, spindles, flip kit, shackels, c-notch and nitro slammers all the way around. Roll pan, primered grey with semi gloss black bed. New black dashpad, black dorpannels, 2-10inch pioneer chapionship series woofers, mb quarts highs and mids and 2 amp under the seat. Work to be done soon: Foose Legend(black with polished lip) 22x10 front and 24x12 in the back, black and brown paintjob and matching interior. 383 blown, 700R, Ford 9inch rear with a massive tub. Should take me another year or so hehehe. |

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
My new truck. Old blue died so I had to replace her. I really hated the idea of parting her out but she needed so much and it really wasn't worth the money to do it.
So here is my new toy. 1977 GMC High Sierra. Fairly bare bones but I have already put the tilt column from my old truck in her. I am planning on adding the a/c, cruise control module and the intermittent wipers to her out of old blue so I can cruise in comfort. Nice basic truck though. Tires were shot and her front end needed some work but man this truck can run. By null By null

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Here's my 1973 Cheyenne 20 Camper Special. Bought it about a month ago for $800. Since then its looks have changed a lot and the interior has really been improved. Next step is to seal up the leaky header gaskets, then drop it 3/5 (w/ smaller tires of course). Eventually it will be either flat orange w/ 17-20" black rims or gloss hugger orange w/black rims. The truck was originally orange.
This is what it looked like before I primered it and painted the rusty wheels black

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Hi, I'm new here so take it easy on me!
Here's some pics of my '86 Silverado. Arrived here in England with one of your servicemen in 1990. Got this paint job some time in the mid 90's I guess. Its a 305, 700r4. Pretty much stock bar a Holley and a set of pipes. It's developing some rot but I hope to take care of that and paint it maybe next year. It's got a static drop of unknown amount, just looks like a spring drop on the front, can't see evidence of drop spindles, which is probably why the camber is so severe, and the rear has been flipped. Sorry bout the blue tailgate, I'm welding up the correct one It's my daily hack and I enjoy it despite the fuel costs, which look to be getting even worse by the summer! Best regards, Phil. |

Sweet boat! At first I thought maybe it was Glastron-Carlson CV23 or CV27 but on further review it looks like an Eliminator, but not sure which model. Truck is sweet to

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
My '87 is looking a LOT better
Before After And I added another to the fleet 1980 K20, 292 inline six, 4 speed, 205 gear drive tcase. It needs different doors (windows and door latch mechanisms don't work worth a s***) And I have a set of 33s on white spoke wheels I'm going to put on it.

It's an '83 21.5' Mini Daycruiser with a 460 Ford, Berkley Jet w/Evator. We just pulled the motor to reseal the jet to the hull, foundthe previous owner ported and gasket matched the heads, it has a Torker II intake, big cam, and a few other goodies. It'll do about 56mph on Lake Tahoe, not bad fpor such a big old *****! The truck is a beast, I love that truck!

Surprisingly, it has power steering and brakes and air conditioning everything is intact, but the controls in the cab don't work. Wouldn't it be something to get that working again
