Put ol pinky on some 17" steelies so the Washington winter doesn't ruin the new aluminum wheels.

My 67 K20. It's got a LS1, built 4L60E, NP205, 14 bolt rear with a Detroit locker, and a Dana 44 front. Getting ready to put the fuel tank under the bed next.

16's but I don't remember the width. Just check the width you need for the tire size you want I guess.

Re: post your 67-72 4x4

I actually traded for this truck back in June, the previous owner spent two years restoring this truck to what you see today, I would say it is about 95% done, basically going over everything and finding the little things, loose bolts, wires, and leaks. The underside of the bed/wheelwells needs to be sprayed/lined and the wheels need to be powder coated too. Since there is no SPID in it I want to make it a knock off
Highlander. This site is great for info, thanks for the kind words!

Beautiful truck, very similar to mine. My SPID was also missing and i am also building it to be a highlander clone. There is a guy in town here that bought a truck identical to yours from a farm in CA and had it shipped here to long island. All original paint, glass and everything, and the same color scheme as yours. I think he said it was a walnut farm, not sure if they have those out there but they do call it the land of Fruits and Nuts right? LOL Put up some more pics as you take them!

Re: post your 67-72 4x4

From what the PO told me and the info he gave me, the truck is a Fremont CA built truck that spent most of it's life in San Diego. He said he got it in an estate sale. C20 and a K20. He put them together here locally and it took him about two years to restore it. I think he said the frame/axles were already done when he got it. I do know that the paint was done about a year and a half ago by a local bodyshop, because I scratched the hood with my garage door, it barely fits. It does have the "Custom Camper" on the doors and a factory aux fuel tank. That is another item I will have to fix, the tank needs to be flushed, painted and plummed in.
I look forward to learing from the site and meet interesting people!!!

Casey

Re: post your 67-72 4x4

The tires/rims are 16 insh stock style steelies with Goodyear Wrangler RT/S tires. I thought they were RS-A tires, 265/75R16. New stock leafs all the way around, no sag, that is why it looks lifted. I will get some pics of the suspension soon, I looked at it last night and the front leaf pack has 3 in it, the rear pack is a 5 leaf.

Thanks! Should be keeping the 292, its a fun motor and fires right up plus its already got clifford intake and headers on it which the previous owner installed
