Re: What did you do to your truck today?
well today was a good day. re furbished the tank fuel hard lines, and all new 5/16 fuel line. Took her on a short drive for the second time in owning it, got to admit a whole year of hard work definitely feels sweet being behind the wheel. also got a neet little goodie for it. floor shifter rubber cover, looks great, really dressed up the inside/ cut down road noise a bit.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Finally got around to swapping out my clusters. Actually get to see what kind of oil pressure and temperature the little engine runs. Kept my speedo so the miles stay correct.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Looks good. Question, what steering wheel and horn button is that? Like the looks of them.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Thank you. I'm not 100% sure. I bought it locally and he said it was an early corvette wheel.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I replaced the front wheel cylnders and brake shoes today. Just one leak after another. The only sad part is I will probably swap in Disc brakes in January. I just needed them to last untill then. The left wheel cylnder was leaking pretty bad, what a mess it makes..
I also repainted the hub caps. Here are some before and after shots.. Which one do you like best.. I have to say the new version fits better. Need another coat of orange..

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I was up early on Saturday to get over to Martins today with the truck, to get a 4x8 sheet of MDF and my tall ladder to his place so that we could complete the rest of the carport roof for his truck resto.
It was really great to get the truck back on the road again, its been some time. Martin's truck earning its keep. We were done with the roof after dark, and by 5pm I was on the road home again. Every time I drive my truck it leaves a HUGE SMILE on my face.\ The cost of fueling it up, disappears with the sound of that V8 rolling down the road. Looking forward to the new year and getting the body and paint sorted.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I drove to Sacramento from SF to get a $35 turn signal switch and when I got there found out they don't sell that one anymore but they do sell the $68 Autowire one that is "Made In the USA". I only needed it for a few months but I bought it anyway. When I swap out the column to the automatic column I will put the new switch in that column.
I drove back home and installed the new switch and then all my brake and turn signals worked.. I also picked up a rear veiw mirror and new windshield rubber.. I think I will install the rear veiw mirror today.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I love that interior. It reminds me of the inside of a semi truck but I still love it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
First off, markeb01, that interior shot is awesome! That diamond tuck looks perfect and the gauges and switches looks great as well. Perfect execution.
I was actually able to get new tires put on the truck and get rid of the old mis-matched dry rotted ones. I had been holding off trying to find some steel wheels and get rid of those nasty cheap chrome ones but I guess there aren't any more steel wheels left lying around in Southwest MO apparently. I also bought some model paint and repainted the blue bow tie and the red in my side emblems. Started the black script in the sail panel as well. Looks a little better. No pics yet of that. Maybe tomorrow. I did paint the grille and bumper back to white a couple weeks ago. I posted a crappy pic after my electrical fire, here is one, though not much better, but I still think it is far better than the black grille and bumper.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
My chrome grill and bumper came in the mail yesterday, so I installed them today. Damn the original bumper bolts were all rusted and frozen. I had to cut them off with a wheel cutter.
