I've been watching "Scarlett" closely.

Got it cleaned up and waxed yesterday.

Wow, that's a great looking truck!

What's the back story on it? Been re-painted, one owner, listed on Craigslsit, etc?

Also, do you have the specs on the wheels/tires handy?

A local man purchased the truck new at the local chevy dealership in 86. His son repainted "victory" red and added the silver to the top and bottom, put an IROC Z motor in after switching the intake to put on a carb.
He sold it to another local person who had it for sale about 3 years ago. I never would stop and look because I knew I could not afford it at the time. I was about to buy a truck that needed rebuilt top to bottom. Told the wife I was going to call about this truck and see if it was still for sale before I bought the other one. She went to the guys restaurant and asked about it (god I love her). A week later I closed the deal.
Wheel vintques corvette rally's. 15X10. Don't know about the BS. 275/60 on the tires.

^ Great backstory - always neat to hear the details on these well preserved trucks.

Thanks for sharing and congrats on your purchase - certainly a beautiful truck!

Loving those 15x10 rally's too.

Hey Fox,

Man i can understand why you miss that grey truck!!! Its PERFECT!!!

Ive been looking for inspiration to buy and build one for a few days now, and this is as close to what id like to do as it gets!!

Would you share the lift, wheel/tire sizes etc ....if you dont mind.

Its got the tough look on while still beeing somewhat civilian and road worthy.

LOVE IT.

Lead.

This is my dads truck
1977 with Factory Paint
Scoggins Dickey Crate engine with low low miles
Cold AC
All new Drivetrain.
5''rear 3''front drop
18'' wheels
This is the nicest original paint truck I know of.
I have owned 40 or 50 of these trucks in the past, and this one is super nice
