Re: 540 BBC 68 Burb Dually 54" Boggers on Rocks
Has taken 77 hours to get to this point. I figure it will be another 3 or so hours to weld together depending on how much the frame wants to flex and oil can. Id love to complete it all together ready to powder coat in 90 total hours...

I know about take about half off other wise you end up with a pile of tubing that is worthless to anyone other than the scrap pile. Yeah, it was the Challenger. I'd love to have one some day!

Re: 540 BBC 68 Burb Dually 54" Boggers on Rocks
So started welding the chassis together and its just taking a bit of time cause just want to make sure it doesnt warp real bad by heating up. So the technique is just weld a few joints then do some body work and let it cool down. When body filler is applied while waiting for it to harden weld a little bit more ect.
In the mean time i transfered the body from my house where alot of the work was done to it and brought it over to my friends shop so that i would have a bigger spot to work on it as well as making the chassis mating alot easier. |
