Re: 64 1ton (delivery day)

ok so i have a about 10 pictures to post, so i got the steering column done, and the master cyl installed, using capt. braket worked like a charm, i did have to extend the shaft but not a big deal, some of the pictures are of the sway bar, etc. ( hey no comments on how dirty it is ! still a work truck lol)

Re: 64 1ton (delivery day)

What was the issue with the first master cylinder? That new one looks to have a fairly large bore.

Re: 64 1ton (delivery day)

the only real issue is the brake line for the front port, is a 9/16 - 18 thread and i can't find one in town i have been to NAPA and all the other auto parts chain, so i had one from a 03 silverado that had the lines and they are both 1/2 thread, oh i know i could find the correct ones off another S-10 that is parting out but i had this one. (i may still look and atleast that way i have a back up)

Re: 64 1ton (delivery day)

Great to hear. You'll be driving that thing soon! Planning to get a 700R4 for my pickup once everything else is buttoned up. Like you, I'm also adding power steering & power disc brakes. I might not even want to drive my "modern" vehicle once the '66 is back on the road!

The truck looks fantastic!
You really did a great job.
I might have missed it, but what kind of work do you do?
At first glance I thought it was mobile welding, but then I started looking at the tools.
