Re: Period Correct Accessaries for your truck...

Love that old school period stuff. Grew up with a lot of it to include my Mom navigating by a lap full of folding GPS systems. Us kids knew not to bother Mom and Dad when going thru some of the bigger cities when traveling.

I do have this period correct CB unit made by the Amphenol Corp in mid 60s. Not sure if it works or not but it does light up when hook a ground and a power wire. Without an antenna, which I don't have, it's not advisable to "key" the mike under power. Cool looking piece from back in the day. It is for sale in the parts forum if any one is interested.

Good music choice! Hank always sounds better in a 503 truck.

Re: Period Correct Accessaries for your truck...

One of these was actually still in my 67 with an added speaker screwed to the roof. I guess maybe I should not have tossed it. Just got to looking at the four holes I had to patch after removing the speaker and tossed the whole mess in my shop trash.

Don't know ... It hasn't arrived but I will look.

The fact it was printed with 1970 was the key for me ...

Yes it does...I used to work at one just like that in high school, we had a rack inside that had maps for mostly the western states and a few nearby city maps all for about .10 cents each.

We also had the city map taped to the wall to look at for free that people would always stop and look at.

Re: Period Correct Accessaries for your truck...

That flashlight may be period correct and would be cool to see in the truck. But the sight of a flashlight from that era still heats my blood. I don't think I ever used one that would stay on longer than just as I was about to do what I needed the light for. Typical use went like this: Turn on, put tool on fastener, light blinks off, shake it and get light, put it on the work it goes out, repeat several times, then no light at all, throw light hoping you get to see it fly into pieces Back then is when I discovered Kel-Lites which became Maglites. There was a rubber coated clip-in mount for those I used to have on the bottom of the dash of these trucks. I never threw another flashlight
