You guys are kind...not a big deal. Certainly don't feel like I'm putting myself through anything. Members have spent money...we have a stated goal...want to get a good result as soon as possible. Just wanted everyone to know we're working on it.

A quick update...

I know this is taking a long time and I appreciate your patience. I picked up the second run the day before Thanksgiving. The office was empty, save for a receptionist. After seeing them, I had some concerns on this run too that I could not address directly with my point person until today. She had not seen them after they were run as she had taken extra time off around the holiday.

These aren't bad. But we didn't get the distressed code number as in the approved proof. Also, a problem that persisted from the first run was the shadow effect on the lettering in the red area. They have to lay down a layer of white first...and that's what you're seeing peeking through at the edges.

Otherwise we're good...correct foil this time and font. Our proof is perfect...all these problems have been on the production side. This company has grown, recently moved into a larger facility...I don't know if these are contributing factors. My point person is going to talk to the print person and see if they can make it work. What I have in my hand works...and I'm not embarrassed to send it to you or stick it on my truck. The flaw is imperceptible without a flash image or the correct light angle.

But if you all will bear with me...and they say they can and will improve these with a re-run....I'm going to let them.

You guys are kind...only stress is that I don't like to leave you all hanging--especially since you've already paid for these. Also...I figured it was a done deal once we got to the proof. That's usually the hard part. Never had an issue getting the thing out of the printer.

I wouldn't be leaning into them as much if what we got matched the approved proof.

If they say this is the best they can do...I'll start stuffing envelopes tomorrow...but if they can get us to the finish line, I'm going to let em.

I was off today and hadn't gotten an update from the printer, so I picked up two boxes of hot off the press Krispy Kreme donuts and went to see what I could make happen. Sugar as always was a happy salve to the situation. They had already done another test print yesterday. They achieved a full correction on the "Caution" lettering...but still a little artifact around the 717 that may yet have to be an accepted flaw (see pic below). They did seem to have some ideas for that still...

Nevertheless, we are going to a third run (hopefully early next week)...and however it comes out will be the best we can do. And I will get them in the mail to you as soon as I've got them.

Everyone's decal is packed up and in the mail and will hopefully soon be at your door. (All except Chevy DMZ...waiting on his shipping address). I'm sure delivery will be a little slow for obvious reasons...but hey this has taken forever already.

On that note...thanks again for all your patience on this. I hope they work well for everyone.

Finally...I only sent the final versions (3rd run) of the decal. I considered dropping the second effort decals in the envelope as spares for you....but with the state of shipping right now, I thought it best to hold them back. Just in case something happens and the finals get lost or damaged...I've got the back up here. Because I don't think we'll run these again for a long time.
