Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!

I'm thinking the Mistique of the California car or truck when you get east of the Mississippi. Cars that have been back there for years but still show up at shows with California plates. Probably a bit of Bubba factor involved. Back 35 years ago it usually meant rust free but As you know there is just as much wet area in Cali as there is in Oregon.

Back 30 years ago I knew guys who would go down to the LA area to buy cars because they were cheaper down there. You could pick up a 3 to 10 year old car for about 30% less than you could here at the time. That was probably supply and demand working in their favor though. What was an "Old car" in LA was a nice used car here. At that time a lot of dealers here went down there to the auctions to buy cars and bring them back to put on their car lots.

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!

That is one seriously nice truck for 45K. It isn't all that far from me but I don't have that kind of money.

To me a Nova Subframe is obsolete 80's tech but may have alredy been on the truck when they started the current build. That control arm and suspension set up cost as much as a good crossmember setup using similar pieces. Still if you want a Nova Stub on and AD that is how you put it on.

Beautiful truck that should win some shows for what is to me an honest price.

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!

This 52 in eye blinding yellow is up for sale for 27 K lately. That seems a bit too high to me but this is the national week of Barrett Jackson Scottsdale syndrome when it comes to prices on old trucks and cars. Nice little truck that could use a few touches to be a real nice truck.
I went through my last years photos from local shows and hadn't seen it at any where I took photos at but there are always those guys who build a car or truck and never enter it in a show.

maybe a bit pricey, depends how solid the metal is under that primer, but it is not a horrible price for a driver these days

52 Bus no engine or trans but it looks pretty solid for a short bus.

Near warden Wa that is east of Moses Lake and south of I 90.

GMC sitting on Snomoa frame with a 4.3 It still needs a ton of work but the body doesn't look as bad as a lot of them. Yakima Wa.

I'd say that letting him keep one set of wheels or both sets might be a bargaining factor. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...type=top_picks

A 50 with 51 doors at the Pasco auto auction 3/28/23 Says it is a non runner but it might be a chance at a fairly solid looking truck with a title for maybe under 3K. https://www.trucksandauto.com/auctio...vrolet-Pick-Up

They do charge a 200 buck paperwork processing fee along with their percentage and tax and title and registration.

So if you can bid less than $200 and win, then it's a good deal.
$2k + %???
Won't even consider bidding there.

The 2K was my typo error last night. The current bid is 1850 and bid increasements on that one are 50.00 Meaning you would have to bid at least 1900 right now at 11:29 Pacific time 03/23/23

The 200 is their paperwork handling fee. Plus a 10 % buyers premium and tax and license.

I bought a VW Passat from them a few years ago on a hundred dollar bid and at that time I ended up paying 376 and change when I paid for it. Dang good 377 buck car that had a transmission leak causing the transmisison problems We even took it to Victoria BC for Deuce days in 2019. The outfit is great to deal with and stright arrow but their fees can cause a bit of shock.

I sent them an email about it having a later 235 last night and she got back to me this morning and said that the State Patrol said the vin was good but I suggested that she have one of her people physically check the engine serial number. It looks like a project that someone lost interest in or it is part of an estate sale.

Looks like sold it already, At that price either someone slid sideways in his driveway cash in hand or he got so many calls that he deleted the add and is pondering his next move.

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!

50 GMC 150 with a 292 in it in Walla Walla Wa with a 7000 asking price.

A little rich for my wallet but it looks like a pretty solid truck.

If you are thinking about putting a late six in and AD the photos are worth saving.😊 Note that the GMC radiator sits an inch or more ahead of a Chevy radiator.

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!

There would have to be some really nice parts on it for it to be worth 2500 to me without a title but if it is a true Southern Idaho truck it might have them. I need to get rid of parts rather than buy them though.

TF long box turned trailer on 3/4 ton chassis. In or near Ellensberg WA and this one isn't beat up. Pretty nice TF fenders except that they have that wraparound bumper thatfastens to the fenders. 400 asking price makes it worth taking a drive. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...e_map%5C%22%3A[]%2C%5C%22grouping_info%5C%22%3Anull%7D%22%2C%22lightning_feed_qid%22%3A%22-4183920812980485721%22%2C%22lightning_feed_ranking_signature%22%3A%221851521703650263040%22%2C%22ftm d_400706%22%3A%22111112l%22%7D

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!

Auction truck in an online auciton that ends Saturday.

50 Chevy 3100 that is a running driving project, Current bid is 3100.
https://www.trucksandauto.com/auctio...et-3100-pickup

They are a solid outfit to deal with and I bought my wife's car through them a few years ago. Fees are a bit stiff though but they do process the title and you don't have to deal with that.

51 with some mods that you either like or don't but it's hard to build a pretty well finished truck for the price. In Wenachee Wa. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...2111112l%22%7D
