Re: What's the fastest speed you have ever gone?

Fastest I have been is 315 KPH (around 195) on Fuji Speedway in my twin turbo RX7. When I was an indestructible Airman (18) I hand both my Pontiac Trans AM SD at 145, unfortunately it sucked a vale in around Monroe, LA. Trying to stop the beat with no power and a 109lb wimpy kid at the wheel will make you think hard about what you do on public roads.

Never was brave enough to take my Kawasaki 750 over 100. I need a bit more around me to feel comfortable at speed.

You realize that puts you at about 150mph, right?

Copy that.

A few years ago I was on a volunteer day crew manned mostly by grandmothers. One of my last runs was on a two lane road where the rig was bouncing so much I couldn't get an IV in. The driver (60ish) was offended when I yelled at her to slow.

Re: What's the fastest speed you have ever gone?

One can notice that no one is setting any land speed records with our
trucks. Mine was originally dyno'd at 96mph with 36" tires,411s ,o/d and a
Detroit diesel. 64 4 x 4 panel
I did get it over 85 once; figured that was enough. It travelled well but
there is always that point that one should be comfortable with.

Well.. there's always this thing... I guess if you can drop a million five on a car you can probably afford the track time in Germany too.

I've been in love with that car since it debuted as a concept years ago. It's such an over engineered and technologically advanced car that it's amazing. I've seen several of them in my travels but never one at speed. Gotta love a W16 engine with 4 turbos that can hit 253 mph, may not be the record holder for fastest production car anymore (SSC Aero took that) but it's still my ultimate "ya right" dream car.

Re: What's the fastest speed you have ever gone?

Did 140 in my 63 Vette, 130 in my 86 Corvette convertible. I would have gone faster, but it felt like the top was going to rip off. 155 with my 99 Corvette Coupe, and 135 on my Yamaha FJ-1100. Here in So Cal today I was on the Freeway cruising at 80, and people were flying buy me. That's scarry, because people don't know how to friggen drive here.

Re: What's the fastest speed you have ever gone?

My fastest in a car was as a passenger in the Interstate Batteries Nascar at Texas Motor Speedway. I don't know the exact speed but it was surely faster than 155 MPH which is the fastest I have driven. It was in my then new 2003 350z on I-35 just north of Austin. At 155 she was rock solid! My fastest on two wheels was on my 2001 Yamaha R6. It was 3am on I-35, no cars in sight...172 MPH (indicated). Both unnecessary risks which is probably why I did it. Wouldn't do it today. Guess I'm a older and a little wiser. Just glad I made it this far.

Re: What's the fastest speed you have ever gone?

160mph in my 93 300ZX felt like 80mph
140mph in my 91 Geo Storm YES a GEO STORM! I don't think the front end was still on the ground.
130mph in my 67 Malibu, 01 Pontiac Firebird, 96 Prelude, 75 280Z
110mph in my current 04 S2000 with tons of room left
My 71 Blazer max 90mph to tall to go faster safely.

Re: What's the fastest speed you have ever gone?

I was running 145 mph to a domestic disturbance the other night. The male was trying to burn the house down with his family in it.

Re: What's the fastest speed you have ever gone?

I've hit 190 on a Busa with built motor and nitrous she would break 200. 150 plus on my R6 and 170 plus on my r1's i've owned it's hard to tell since the speedo's aren't very accurate the faster you go.
