Re: Newtz '68 Burb
So yesterday the boy and me made a trip over to slickricks house, and thanks to Rick and his dad ( great guys btw) picked up some parts. Parts include a very much needed middle seat, some new tail light lenses, a few exterior door handles, etc... Thanks guys! I am now looking for the seat mounting brackets for this seat. Also the neighbor brought by a custom gas tank that he built for his blazer, and now has no need for. Looks like it's gonna work great!

do the rebuilds cost you alot even when you do it yourself? most cost is probably the machining.

Re: Newtz '68 Burb
Parts are a big chunk too depending on what you have or reuse. A decent small block like I like to build runs about $2500. My big block cost me about $4000, including the cost of the motor itself to begin with. There's a company in Sacramento that sells 350s and 383s on ebay for around $2000. They warranty them too.

Re: Newtz '68 Burb
No I haven't. I've always wondered about them. There was a company at the last Turlock swap meet selling them for about the same price also.

Re: Newtz '68 Burb
Sorry, nothing really. Managed to get some seat brackets for my middle seat, but still need to find the time to actually get it in. Also, have not had the time to get the gas tank in yet. Been working ten hour days, with a hour and a half drive one way. Hopefully soon I can get some stuff done!
