i am still down, i am just a little concerned with the shape differences you pointed out seeing in chevy duty. Was there any resolution on this?

Swervin has one truck of each body style, he could do a comparison.

As I was driving my truck today I looked at the pillar trim.. There is very little surface area to it, Im wondering how the guages are going to look?

it wraps around (horizontally) the pillar very fast and sharp... Anyways Im still in.. just thinking outloud.

the shape difference is down where they fit against the dash pad according to the ones on my 76 and on my 84. they will physically fit, i know because i had already painted the ones in my 76 and thought i would just put them in my 84 and paint the others later and put them in my 76 thats when i noticed the difference. the earlier style is curved at the bottom to fit the dash which is more rounded than the 81 plus style. i'll go out tonight and stick the one outta my 84 into my 76 and see if they fit right. with the earlier style post trim you can see a little space(hole or whatever) where the trim piece is to rounded at the bottom for the 81 up dash pad but it is only visible on the passenger side.

ok well i did a scientific study and took some pics
the light gray one is outta the 76, the darker one is from the 84

you can see the space i was talkin about

see the bulge? you would have to trim the screw hole on the backside of the 84 piece(circled in red below) to fit the 76 and make a new screw hole, the 84 has provision for this in the metal part of the cab pillar where the 76 doesn't. but by the time you trim it so it will pull up flush it may create a gap between the 76 dash pad and the 84 pillar trim.

niether fits 100% correctly when swapped around but the newer piece i think would better adapt to the older dash. the best thing i think would be to try and get up another order for the pre 81 dash, i would go in on it too. i'd like to have one for my 76.
oh and they may also not fit the kicker panel trim piece at the bottom either when swap around, i forgot to look at that.

Hello all! Sorry it has been so long since I posted to this, we are in the middle of a 10 day plant shutdown and I've been working every day, 12 hrs a day. No excuses but that's what's happening!
I am unsure from the post above with the cool pics (big thanks to CT-Truckster!) if it will work for all of our trucks. A lot of you have replied in the affirmative as to proceeding but some of you haven't. PLEASE LET ME KNOW--either in this thread, pm me or e-mail me. I seriously can't get the order started then owe the money and have to come up with half or more of it on my own. If it turns out that the interest has faded, that's fine with me also--I just need to know one way or the other.
Thanks for reading!

Re: UPDATED! Info on gauge pods for our trucks...

We made some last minute changes to the mold at the beginning of January 2015, but they are currently in production and we have a tentative early date of End of February best case but ideally it will be Mid March. I will have the final pricing on these next week.

When they are available they will be in our catalog online for purchase. I will be updating the main thread that I started here, or probably will start a new thread.
