Lots....Rebuild as much of the running of it as I can , I am going to do the interior in black and charcoal gray with a few custom accents, lower it about how you have yours, roll pan in back, aftermarket grille for the front ,rims and tires...ect. The outside color will be Copperhead Orange.I'm a poor workin man, so it'll probably take me forever...LOL..can't wait to see the finished truck, looks good in my head..LOL |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Time isn't always a bad thing. I've seen a lot of people as soon as they paint a truck, or do something major wish they had done something else. If you have more time, and have to wait for funds, like I do, you can sometimes have a more concrete plan of action. My uncle just bought a truck that has the copper color on top, and black on the bottom. It looks awesome.
Not the best pic, but all I have for now. |

Oldschool82 nice truck! I have the same wheels on my truck and I could never figure out the manufacturer. Do you know who makes them? Was always curious. I like them, very lightweight.

Don't know, these came on the truck and they are missing the center caps, so I'm not sure what they are...sorry.

Thanks ...that looks pretty cool on his . I had thought of doing mine that way kinda...with black on bottom and like a Harley orange on top, but decided on the one color ( copperhead ) |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Just bought this one 2 weeks ago. 87 SWB 350FI 700R4 A/C. 15x10 w/ 295/50's. 91 Burb clip w/ billet grilles.
3" steel cowl hood. 5.3L 4L60E swap in mind. Found a wrecked 01 tahoe for $1000. I'll try to add some better pics later just took these as soon as I got her home.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
^^^ I really like the truck, just not the wheels. I think 1000 for a wrecked tahoe is an awesome deal. You could part out the interior and get that much back. I've been getting a price of 1000 for just an engine w/accessories and harness from a salvage yard, so if you get the chance take it. A 5.3 and 4L60e would be perfect in that truck.

That's a sharp looking truck. I agree on the Tahoe, that's a heck of a deal. Keep us updated with the progress.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Thanks Guys (ps. if it seems girly it's cuz it is a girls truck)
The seats are a 40/20/40 split bench with a fold down center and were re-finnished and covered to match the truck. I don't care for the fold down center as it has no storage and shallow cup holders, so I put an old refurbished steel horse center counsole painted black sitting on the center seat. |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
karl...nice truck...glad I joined this board, it's full of nice square bodies and great people to get ideas from for my old fixer upper....Hey....((( liv2ryde )))....You said that your seats were re covered, do you know what kind of vehicle they were in originally? I would like some sportier looking seats for my 82, but need to keep the seating room I have now with my bench. One like that would be perfect.
