Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
Damn you Photobucket. If you were 1/2 human I'd kick your halfass!
Here's my friend's Sonoma I've been driving the last couple weeks. I really like it. Handles like a sports car and he pepped the banger up a bit. It's a 5spd

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
I have a couple 350s laying around in case I wanted to throw one in mine but I think it would be a bit much for the little thing. Would definitely need wider rear tires, they already break loose easy with the 4.3. I'm not sure the wife would let me do it anyways, technically it's her truck.
Here's a pic of the headliner, only thing we found that sorta fit the theme:

Here is the 4-banger I'm driving. First one is packing out of a swap meet and the other two were at a house I work on. It's different working out of a small truck. I had to come up with a way to haul 12' 1/4 round trim. I can lay that inside of my Suburban

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
In the interest of helping make the S-10 subforum a little more lively, here's my "sporty beater"- not the clearest photo but on the other hand you can't tell how rusty it really is. The cab corners and one of the rockers have been kinda tough for a while but just in the last year the rust is flaking the paint off the box above the wheelwells. So, before a lot longer, some decisions will need to be made- whether I have a patch job of sorts done, or just keep on driving til the rust claims yet another one.
I think it was originally a fleet or business vehicle- it has the proper ZR-2 sticker on the firewall, but no decals on the box- instead, at some point it got a pinstripe and freehand "Z-r2"- which I kinda like. It's a fun little truck to hammer around with- though a 5 speed would be even more fun- and in a great many ways a lot handier than the full-size 3/4 ton, but I do see why little trucks aren't as popular- if I get just 500 pounds of feed at the co-op and climb in the driver's seat, that is basically the payload. In fact, it's a little sprung toward the driver's side now, after I tried getting 700 pounds of feed and myself home. |

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
Thanks for contributing to this 'rather' slow sub-forum along. I know what you are saying on all counts. Great little go-getters. I put a lot on the black '99 back in March. I did a job for my sister that required gravel. She lives on a mountain and the road up was built steeper than a road should be (unpaved). I'll say that load made climbing the steepest section no problem. But the poor little truck. We filled 5 gallon buckets at the farm co-op, enough buckets to fill the bed and not slide around. I think we made three trips. she was nose-up/tail down for sure
