Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides
Glad someone brought this thread back. Some real nice looking step-sides. Step-sides are my favorite.
Here are a few pictures. The first one is what we started with, the second one is what it ended up being and the third one is of mine and my son's pickup.

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides
Thanks KyFarm. Gotta love those 4x4's too!
My SPID was blank, but I had some spray cans mixed to paint a steering column and the closest thing was a '72 f@&d color Holly Green 1245, with a little less white in it. I think it was close to Chevy 505, if I'm not mistaken on the number. The other color was a better match though, maybe the years of sun altered it too much. It's a green with some blue in it. That pic is washed out a little in photoshop to desaturate the background and make the truck pop more. Looks a lot like the color in post #51. Man, sorry for rambling! |

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides
Heres my 72 when I first got it. Pretty much looks the same as of now. Tryin to find a job to get rollin on it. When I think of what im gonna do to it my mind goes crazy but then i get to reality and remember I dont have the money to do it. Hard for a 16 year old to mess with a truck with school and all .... Soon though

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides
really sharp '72 there
you guys must have a much stronger tailgate than I do, some of my spot welds have come off on one side and I am afraid to put any weight on it. |
