Re: Slow go
Glad to hear you were working on it. What kind of "bend" in the road?

Re: Slow go
Hey man keep working at it! You think your truck is bad? Check these out.....
Now after the shock of that listen to this, there is a point to the story. I payed $1 for the truck. I scored a set of tires for $40 to get it rolling. My buddy runs a parts store and scored a good battery that was supposedly dead. I got a 73 radiator for free that didnt leak. I got a 18 gallon fuel cell for $10. I just went to the Frog Follies in Evansville Indiana last weekend. I scored a rust free 68 hood for $25. The point of that story is to keep your head up. I was ready to sell the truck once I got into it. But I got lucky with all the cheap parts. Thats what you have to do. Keep your head up and look for deals. Like said earlier, go to swap meets. Go to car shows and find those remaining few people that have a junkyard behind their house. You CAN do it. I have to replace almost every body panel on my truck. But, the engine and drivetrain are in perfect shape. Keep your head up and keep up the good work. I like what you are doing. |
