Re: 75 C10 shortwide driver
Ok. I lied. I will be out of town for about a month so I finished some cutting and took photos. The rear is now bottomed out with about 1/4 inch before hitting the axle. I now have about an 8-1/4 inch notch. My rear tires are 29-3/8 inches tall. I will take another quarter inch out of the notch and get some bumpstops mounted after I weld in the final plating. I still have the stock A-arms on, so the frame is a little above 1-1/2 high as you can see from the photo. I still also need to weld in the bottom of the rails. I'm hoping the porterbuilt lower a arms give me the extra drop to lay frame. As of now, I have 3 inch drop spindles, 2.5 inch z, and re7 slam specialties bags for the front drop. My front tires are 26.5 inches tall.

Re: 75 C10 shortwide driver
Finally got home from vacation last week. Worked on the gold truck a bit. New carb, plugs, wires.... also took the factory rebuilt a arms I had on the bagged chassis and put them on the gold truck. I put on 3 inch drop spindles and cut a coil. I'll work on lowering the rear soon. I also sent out my porterbuilt arms for powder coat.. I'm thinking I need two build threads now...

X2
The gold truck looks to be to nice to use as a parts truck, IMHO. Looks good dropped on the rallys.

Re: 75 C10 shortwide driver
Please don't part that out... Way too nice not to keep. You genuinely don't need to change it at all. Shine the tires, and wax the sheet metal. Beautiful.

Re: 75 C10 shortwide driver
Thanks guys.. I definitely do not want to "part it"... the problem I'm having, is, The gold truck is exactly the look I want for my bagged chassis. I am basically going to clone it for the bagged build..

Re: 75 C10 shortwide driver
Thanks man! I got my a arms back from powder. Got my flip kit started on the gold truck today. Man.. two trucks at once is a bit much. Good thing I had enough spare parts from not knowing what the Hell I was doing with the bagged truck.

Re: 75 C10 shortwide driver
Trying to get this ready for long beach next month.. 5-6 drop. Can go another inch lower in the rear, but won't till I notch it and put on the 22s. Plus.. I don't like em with the rear lower (even though it looks that way now).

Looks good man! And you may just want to change all the springs at one time anyway..
